Jersey Athletics Association Re-launches

The Jersey Athletics Association has entered an exciting new chapter, with a renewed sense of purpose, a fresh leadership team, and the launch of a brand-new website designed to better serve athletes, clubs, coaches, officials, and supporters across the island.

Under the guidance of its new President, Andrew Pinel, the Association is embracing a modern and ambitious approach aimed at strengthening athletics at every level, from grassroots participation to elite competition. The re-launch signals a clear commitment to growing the sport, improving communication, and creating more opportunities for the athletics community in Jersey.

The newly launched website will become the central hub for all Association activity, providing easier access to qualification and selection procedures for the Island Games and Commonwealth Games, results, news, records, development programmes, and important updates. With a cleaner design and improved functionality, the platform reflects the Association’s determination to move athletics forward and make information more accessible for everyone involved in the sport.

Behind the scenes, the committee has been working tirelessly to build strong foundations for the future. Their collective focus is on creating a more connected, inclusive, and progressive athletics environment that supports both current and future generations of athletes.

Speaking about the re-launch, the Association’s new President, Andrew Pinel, described it as an important moment the Association:

“This is about building energy and momentum for the future of athletics on the Island. We want to create an organisation that is modern, approachable, and fully focused on supporting our athletes, coaches and volunteers. The committee has worked incredibly hard to get us to this point, and we are excited about what comes next.”

The Association also hopes the fresh approach will encourage wider engagement from the community, volunteers, and local supporters, while strengthening relationships with clubs, schools, and partner organisations. Collaboration and transparency are central to the new direction, with the committee keen to ensure that members feel informed and involved as the sport continues to evolve.
